Possible Tormach CNC Mill Upgrades

A former member of Maker Works has offered to sell us their Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 3 Mill with some extras: a power drawbar, digital probe, possible 4th axis (tbd, never used), and some nice tooling. The machine appears to be in great condition. They are asking an extraordinarily low $5k. The extra components they're including alone are worth that much.

We don't have the budget for this, but we do believe that we can sell our existing Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 2 Mill for a similar price.

Timeline: Mid February. Likely a week of downtime upon arrival as we transition machines.

Helping get our existing Tormach cleaned up so we can properly list it for sale.
Contributing some money to this specific project

We weren't planning on this, but it's an incredible deal that will make the milling experience easier, more efficient, and potentially add some nice capabilities. Their machine is a good six years newer than ours, with some additional improvements beyond the components we would be getting.

I am very interested in getting the older Tormach. I can get the $5k one way or another and am willing to make a test cut on the new machine and then measure the results with a CMM.

Description: The Tormach PCNC 1100 Series 2 Mill has seen regular light use at our community workshop, last year it logged around 200 hours of run time. Purchased new in 2011.

It is under power and available for viewing at Maker Works. Email us to schedule a time. We do offer a basic tool training class involving this machine, let us know if you’re interested.

Minor dings in the table, cosmetic paint wear consistent with age. No structural damage.
